Elementary school social studies field trip.

Today, third graders from our local elementary school came on a social studies field trip to our factory.

I remember that when I was in the same grade, our school field trip was to a bread factory.

(That was over 30 years ago lol)

After observing the manufacturing process, there was time for explanations and questions.

I ended up spending more time explaining about longline fishing than making fishing hooks ^^;

Rather than explaining specialized technologies like ours.

Explaining how resource-friendly tuna longline fishing is sounds more like a social studies lesson, doesn't it?
