I suddenly wondered if our company was confusing fishing with hooks.
As mentioned above, "fishing" refers to the action and "hook" refers to the shape.
Is it correct to use Nagashi hooks and Mutsu hooks, not Nagashi fishing and Mutsu fishing?
In my mind, I interpreted "tsuri" as "a hook used for fishing," so is that interpretation okay?
I have the image that fishermen and workplaces have always asked each other things like, "Is there any fishing going on?"
I guess the safe answer would be to simply call it a "fish hook" (lol).
